US President Barack Obama was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize this morning.
The Nobel Commite awarded the Peace Prize to Obama for "his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and co-operation between peoples".
The Norwegian Nobel committee's decision has sparked some controversy because Obama has been in office less than a year and some feel Obama has yet to produced tangible goods or there may be others more deserving of such a prestigious prize.
Obama is only the third sitting U.S. president to win the Nobel Peace Prize, joining the ranks of Woodrow Wilson and Theodore Roosevelt.

This should give him a little more credibility in the eyes of Americans. Congrats Mr.President. Dont stop now, our journey has just begun.
