US President Obama To Be Welcomed In Asia

President Barack Obama makes his first trip to Asia as President and is expected to emphasize re-newed co-operation between the US and Asian Nations.

Japan is President Obama's first stop, where current US and Japan relations are strained by the new government's review of the US military presence in Japan.

President Obama will visit the APEC Forum in Singapore where he will meet all ten members of the Association of South East Asian Nations including Burma. The US government has recently changed it's policy towards Burma from one of isolation to that of direct talks with the countries leaders.

President Obama will also visit China where relations are considered crucial to world growth.  The President's last visit will be to South Korea where talks will focus on North Korea's nuclear program.

People in Indonesians, however, are disappointed President Obama  will not be visiting this year although officials say Obama will visit next year.
