US President Barack Obama attended his first Veterans day as President at Arlington National Cemetery , Virginia today.
President Obama and the First Lady made a surprise visit to Section 60, the area in the cemetery where those who died in Iraq and Afghanistan are buried.
The President later met with top Military and National Security Advisors to discuss troop numbers in Afganistan.
"The generation serving today already deserves a place along side previous generations for the courage they have shown and the sacrifices they have made."
